At State Street Investment Management, Maxwell is focused on US business development & strategic distribution partnerships across the Direct Retail & Digital Wealth eco-system, covering retail brokerage, digital wealth, fintech, and other emerging investor platforms. He also previously held the role of Head of Gold Strategy at State Street supporting its SPDR Gold ETF offerings. Prior to joining State Street Investment Management in 2019, he served as the Director of Investment Strategy at Aberdeen Standard Investments for its US ETF business. Maxwell has also held roles at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, the World Gold Council, and JP Morgan Private Bank. Maxwell holds an M.S. in finance from the Simon Business School and a B.A. in economics from the University of Rochester. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the series 7 and 63 registrations.
