PANEL: Shaping the Future of Indexing

John recently joined MerQube to help further expand the use of customized rules-based benchmark indexes in various distribution channels with a focus on Asset Managers in North America.

He was formerly a Senior Director and Head of North America Index Options Sales at Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe). John served 14 years at Cboe where he held senior positions ranging from Institutional and International Marketing to Global Head of Client Solutions where he was responsible for promoting exchange traded options and futures products to buy-side and sell-side market professionals. John consulted regularly with institutional portfolio managers from investment banks, hedge funds, pension funds, investment advisors, family offices and consultants, regarding market structure, product design and the tactical applications to mitigate market risk to economically enhance investment returns through the usage of derivatives.

Prior to joining Cboe, he worked in the institutional fixed income sales and trading area for J.P. Morgan and Citigroup Capital Markets where he traded Eurodollar futures and options from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). John worked closely with hedge funds and many of the large multinational investment banks where he helped manage duration risks.

He holds an MBA from Loyola Graduate School of Business with a concentration in Modern Portfolio Management Theory and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Northern Illinois University.
